The Application: Addition of Vegetable Oil onto Animal Feed

The Problem:

• Customer needed a flowmeter and local display to measure an extremely low flow rate of vegetable oil
• Needed very low flow rate capability, high accuracy and St. Steel construction

The Solution: ZDM series flowmeter and PD series rate meter/totalizer

Why the Customer Picked ZDM

• The customer had contacted several suppliers and none responded with a suitable product
• With an expected flow rate between 0.0008 GPM to 0.0014 GPM (~3-5 ccm), the smallest ZDM range proved suitable
• The PD provided local display of rate and total oil used in the process, in addition to “no flow” alarm capability
• The customer was happy with the technical support both when initially selecting a suitable product, and with MRT setup assistance after a subsequent lightning strike damaged the display initially installed
